Start a trip

Two ways to bring people along

They work differently, so pick the one that fits your day.

Open seats on your Localite trip

For when you’ve booked a Localite for more people than are coming.

    Book a Localite for the day for the size of group you’d like to travel as.

  2. 2

    Tap Open Seats. Open the places you won’t fill — up to your group size, minus you — and set a price per seat. The app suggests an even share of what you paid.

  3. 3

    Your trip appears on the co-traveller map, with the Localite, meeting point and seats left.

  4. 4

    Travellers join and pay for their seat in the app. Stop sharing on the map whenever you like.

Post your roadmap

For when you’ve planned the places and want company to see them with.

    Build a roadmap of the places you want to see, then tap Post to Co-Traveller.

  2. 2

    Add a title, dates, where you’re staying (already booked, book together, or a day trip), transport and a cost per person.

  3. 3

    Say how you like to travel — fixed plan or go-with-the-flow, slow, food, nature or city — and who can join: anyone, or only your followers.

  4. 4

    People send a request with a short intro. You accept the ones you’d like to travel with.

Join a trip

Find a trip going your way

  • Find a trip

    Search a place on the co-traveller map and set a maximum price per seat. Each pin is a trip, priced per seat.

  • See it before you commit

    The dates, the route, the organiser, the Localite, the meeting point, the vehicle and how many seats are left.

  • Join, or ask to

    Open seats are joined and paid for in the app. For a posted roadmap, send a request and wait for the organiser’s yes.

Once you’re in

Plan it together, settle up fairly

  • Chat in the app

    Plan the details together. Phone numbers stay private.

  • Track shared expenses

    Log what each person paid, split it equally or your own way, and see who owes whom. Settle up however you like.

  • Change of plans

    Withdraw a request or leave a trip from the app. Organisers can close a post when the group is full.

Safety

What we check, and what we don’t

Every Localite is verified before they can be booked. Fellow travellers are not ID-checked — so chat first, meet at the public meeting point, and keep SOS a tap away.

  • Localites are ID-verified

    Aadhaar by OTP, a live selfie match and an 18+ check before anyone can be booked.

  • Vehicles are checked

    Where a Localite drives, the registration is verified against VAHAN.

  • Signed-in accounts only

    Every trip and every request comes from a Tourizzt account, never an anonymous listing.

  • SOS on every trip

    One tap alerts your emergency contacts and our team with your location.

Co-travellers, answered

Does it cost anything?
Posting a roadmap and asking to join one are free. Open seats on a Localite trip have a price per seat, set by the person who booked it, and you pay for your seat in the app when you join.
Who can see my trip?
When you post a roadmap you choose: anyone on Tourizzt, or only people who follow you. Open seats appear on the co-traveller map until you stop sharing them.
Are co-travellers verified like Localites?
No — and we say so plainly. Localites go through Aadhaar, a live selfie and an age check. Co-travellers are other Tourizzt travellers with an account. Chat first, meet at the public meeting point, and trust your judgement.
How do we split costs?
Open seats are priced per seat up front. For everything else, the trip’s expense tracker records who paid what and works out the balances; you settle between yourselves.
Can I leave a trip?
Yes. Withdraw a pending request or leave a trip from the trip screen. The organiser can also close the post at any time.
